Is it helpful to apply the screen protector foil while wet?

Whether it is helpful to apply the screen protector foil while wet depends on the respective phone protector. Models with the Easy-On® application sticker or the Easy-On® adapted can also be applied without water.
How can a screen protector foil be applied dust-free?

You can apply a screen protector foil dust-free by applying the film in as dust-free an environment as possible. Those wanting to apply protector film at home can do this best in a room with as few textiles as possible, such as in the bathroom, and thoroughly remove any fallen dust in advance.
How can I apply protector film without bubbles?

Protector film can be applied without bubbles by placing it in the ideal position and applying it precisely with a suitable tool. If this is not successful on the first attempt, you can also remove bubbles later on.

In our instructions, we show you how you can apply screen protector foil and affix the mobile phone film bubble-free.

Apply screen protector foil in 7 steps

Step 1: Check the ideal position

Before you apply the screen protector foil, first place it against the display to test it. Pay attention to the spacing around the edges, any cut-outs for the front camera unit and other special features of your mobile phone.
Step 2: Clean the display thoroughly

Now clean the display thoroughly and remove the last dust particles with the adhesive sticker. This is best done in as dust-free an environment as possible so that you can apply the screen protector foil without any dust. The bathroom is a good choice for this if the ambient humidity is still high after showering.
Step 3: Remove the adhesive strip from the protector film

Now remove the adhesive strip on the mobile phone protection foil to apply it. All of the preparations are now complete and you can apply the protector film to the mobile phone.
Step 4: Press down on the foil and peel it off evenly

Position the screen protector foil carefully and press it onto the display. To do this, use a credit card or a stable ruler and work from the middle of the display towards the edge so that you really apply the screen protector foil bubble-free.
Step 5: Press the foil down around the edges

Now turn your attention to the edges. Also press down on the foil there to apply the screen protector foil correctly.
Step 6: Peel off the upper backing film and remove the adapter

Then peel off the upper backing film. This protected the screen protector foil while you applied it.
Step 7: Finally press down on the foil and clean

You have now applied the mobile phone screen protector to the display. To finish, press down on it once more and clean it after mounting. Done!

Apply a screen protector foil with Easy-On®

If you would like to apply protector film to your mobile phone, there is a mounting tool that will make this process a lot easier: Easy-On® from Hama. Wet application of screen protector foil

A little water can help you apply a screen protector foil bubble-free. If you apply your screen protector foil while it is wet, bubbles can be eradicated better by pressing them. However, only use a little water and ensure at all times that the moisture cannot get into the housing of your smartphone. Apply a thin film of water onto the display with a clean sprayer before you apply the screen protector foil.
